Welcome 2007

Another year has passed, 2007 brings new hopes and goals. New years eve was a mix of happy and sad farewells.
We left 2006 with the controversial execution of a tyrant dictator, bringing more tension to the war torn nation of Iraq, a 7.1 richter earthquake that struck the southern coast of Taiwan, which caused the APCN2 (Asia Pacific Cable Network 2) submarine cable fault between Shantou, China and Tanshui, Taiwan and between Lantau, Hong Kong and Chongming, China, crippling the back bone of southeast Asia tele communication. In places like Bangkok, Thailand, celebrations were marred by mulitiple bomb blast in the capital, triggering a bout of finger pointing in the presently military led government.
Other than that its was lots fireworks, merry making and beer. So for those lucky lots out there enjoy your new year and stop complaining. Happy 2007 and have a safe year.
